The Palace Complex was Friendly

Currently if you go through the palace complex will feel no difference in the feel of what happened there. Palace complex is now surrounded by iron fence looming, did not like before where we could still feel the warmth when passing around the palace complex. Now with the height of the fence that reaches more than 2-fold higher initially then when we look at the castle would look like a row of iron bars of a prison. While the prisoner are behind bars was none other than the buildings in the complex's buildings and the people who are in it.

Palace today is different than when in the time of President Abdurrahman Wahid, an era in which grassroots can enter the palace with more free even for just used sarong and flip flops. In those days the palace was feels owned by the people, the people can feel a palace that is friendly to them. Earlier era, namely in the new order regime is not easy for ordinary people to enter the palace and at the next era of protocol rules palace were slowly but surely began to be tightened again, not easy for ordinary people to enter the palace. There are restrictions that must be obeyed, from small things like a pair of shoes that were a prerequisite if we want to meet with the president or vice president.

Still reflected in our memory, since the full disgrace in May 1998 the architectural environment our experiencing change, violence and violence affects directly or indirectly into buildings around us. For reasons of security the priority was building a high fence. State building was a row from the National Monument (Monas), Bank Indonesia, building people's representatives (the parliament), the Attorney General building, Istiqlal Mosque, until the presidential palace was not spared is lined with high fences.

With the fence a height far more high from an human, cause the public have a big question. What's happen with my country? Is this country not safe now until the buildings of the state high court must be high fenced?

Is there no rules governing of the limits fence height? If the rule exists, why did this happen? Moreover, it also occurs in state buildings, which makes as if the violator rules commanded by the state buildings.

Another question, where are the rights of the public to see and enjoy the city when the public spaces have been filled by the fences that towered?
