Museum Bahari in Jakarta

Museum Bahari (Maritime Museum) is located in Kampung Luar Batang, Sunda Kelapa area or rather in the Pasar Ikan street No.1, Jakarta. The museum was formerly functioned for spice storage warehouse that consists of several buildings, was built around 1700's or early 18 th century.

Chalwanka

There should be a pedestrian path on Benjamin Suaeb Street

Six in March ahead of the evening, as it passed in the former Kemayoran Jakarta airport runway which is now better known as H. Benjamin Suaeb Street, visible in the distance a mother with two small children were walking toward the north in the slow lane, the vehicle lane.

Indonesian Language No Need Good and Right

Youth congress in 1928 with phenomenal results of the Youth Pledge, which one it reads, "We are sons and daughters of Indonesia upholds the unity of language, Indonesian language," until eventually affirmed in our Constitution as the State Language.

It has been nearly 100 years it happened, but until now society can not speak Indonesian very well and correctly.

Learning Indonesian language is not easy, given the Indonesian itself is still growing to this day, not to mention coupled with government support that can be said to be less good in this regard.

Great Dictionary of Indonesian Language (KBBI)--before it, used General Indonesian Dictionary, written by Poerwadarminta--is the official reference issued by the government through the Center for Language. But whether the public might be able to have it, considering the price KBBI Fourth Edition is now so expensive there until nearly four hundred thousand rupiah, really fantastic for the community which far from established, where in 2008 alone the average income is only reaching about 9.9 million per year (derived from GDP per capita net debt burden, or (21.7 to 11.8) million ---> see Detik Finance March 4, 2009 and March 10, 2009 Jawa Post)

Ask the publisher, how many copies have been printed and how many copies have been sold? Then compare with the number of families or people in this Republic, would reach one percent of the population? So do not be surprised if people do not speak Indonesian well and correctly.

If the government really wants people could speak Indonesian very well and correctly, then the government should provide subsidies for this dictionary so it affordable by the community and the government need not think to take advantage of the sale of this dictionary. Another step that can be done is to invite the cooperation of private parties as a sponsor, in this case could have private publishers, or simply use government-owned publishing so as not to burden the private sector.

Indeed the government through the Language Center has issued an Indonesian Dictionary (KBI) for school consumption in the form of an electronic dictionary that can be downloaded for free. But even this does not seem to be too serious, because the stated amount of the dictionary is contains 1826 pages but only have 1630 pages--that means there are approximately 200 pages of missing, there is also chaos on the part of the final entry in the preparation of the letter "B", and not to mention plus the absence of the letter "P" in the full version of the dictionary. Have all the contents of the dictionary was correct? Could this be the dictionary handbook for school and community? Big Trees Element Flood Prevention

Parking Area Whose Responsibility?

Incidentally this afternoon appointment with someone at the Mall of Indonesia (MOI), Kelapa Gading, thought also to buy a camera battery in there. But no one sells batteries in there. The friendly clerk explained that the camera batteries can be bought at the service center not far from the location and provide tiny scrap of paper containing the address of their center services.

Service center address is not far away, at Raya Boulevard Barat streets in ruko complex, people used calls like that. Ruko or shophouses (home-store) despite the fact that the building was just a store, because the owner very rarely live in, if any who lives there is usually only the shopkeepers. This occurred reputedly due to make a shophouses license is easier than permission to make a shop. If it's true, of course weird rules like that huh?

As the condition of a row of shophouses mostly along the Boulevard Kelapa Gading, if we look around the parking area shophouses there nearly all typical of the same, namely the condition of the street parking is almost the average damage. Though the parking fee in the first hour Rp3,000.00 and Rp1,500.00 for each additional hour, we still too find the condition of damaged roads of parking areas not being repaired. Why so?

Several years ago, Indonesian Institute of Architects have been invited to attend a meeting of interested parties in there, such as local government (local government) and local developers to find common ground between them about the parking conditions in Kelapa Gading. I happened to be sent from the Chairman of IAI that time to attend the meeting. Meeting one of which discusses the problem of parking there, in which each interested party have different views about who is actually bearing the burden of responsibility for repairs in the parking lot.

Departure from there back to this question could disturb the mind, "Is to this day still occur between the developers throwing responsibility with local governments?" Where developers are not willing to repair roads on the grounds, because the regional government has withdrawn charges to park there, so it is a government obligation to repair a damaged parking area, while local governments do not feel the need to repair that road because that road has not handed over to local government. If so, who is harmed due to the different views? Of course, shop owners and visitors shop, because the condition of the parking lot of the damaged area becomes uncomfortable to drive there. Weird if repair parking areas should become the responsibility of shop owners?

Hopefully the bad roads conditions in the existing parking area is not because they still lead to the same issues. But it could be something like this is also happening in other places and it seems the community or the public right to sue the relevant parties if this is really happening, with consumer protection laws of course.

And even more weird, in Jakarta in particular, is everywhere why pay for parking!

Sex and Architecture

This is lifted from the explanation at the request of a friend, a senior architect, about the implementation of Sex and Architecture Seminar, which quote this request "please explain a little intention of the theme, don't till the 'hot' come eeh no nothing ..."

Uh pretended not to know or just want to testing huh? Because the architect's must understood about the architecture and understand sex right he.he.he...

Well here is a brief description of the purpose of the seminar's Sex and Architecture. Expected from this seminar, there is no relationship or both have -- between sex and architecture.

For example, a hot Marilyn Monroe in one of the roles in the film The Seven Year Itch in 1954 there was a scene that waved raise the skirt just above the place (hole) that there is strong winds that blow up. Taxes for What?

A few days ago during a visit to the death of the mother of college friend, whose living in America with her husband who was blond and have long settled in San Francisco.

Returned to Indonesia with her husband to visit her sick mother, but not long after that her mother passed away. Her mother left with smiling faces and glowing skin ... Hopefully her mistakes can be forgiven, her sins are forgiven, and welcomed back into the presence of the Almighty. Everything comes from Him and will return to Him .. Amen.

She originally wanted to retire and live in Indonesia, her homeland. When she saw what had happened to her mother in the hospital, made her think back to spent the old days here. Students Movement

Don't know when and who started, a definite demonstration by recent students receive scant sympathy from the public.
